High pitched electrical whine from back...

I have a had the FJ for a little over a month, I have just noticed a electrical whine that seems to come from the rear of the vehicle, just from inside--in fact the sound is muffled by the head rest-if I move my head to the right of the headrest the sound is louder. The sound continues with the stereo off. It does not matter whether the vehicle is moving or stationary. I remove the aux in device and I have even turned off the backup assistant, still the sound.

Now I do have very sensitive ears but I was wonder if anyone else has heard this sound?

I have not heard it.
Could it be the electrical fuel pump?

Does it make the sound with the key on, but motor off? If it only makes the noise when running I would second the fuel pump. The gas tank is located just under the rear seat.

I have noticed this as well. I beleive it is sound coming from the headliner speaker when the engine is running kind of like electrical interference I guess. it is annoying so I usually turn on the stereo and it goes away...
