Tire pressure monitor

I bought a tyre pressure monitor that screws onto the valve, called Tyre Dog' and it is supposed to show pressure as well as temperature and can obviously be transferred to any wheel. Works with radio signal to a receiver in the car. Used to lose tires when they are having a slow leak and first sign is vibration on dirt road and one lost tire. Problem is that it sometimes give ridiculous readings like pressure of 500kpa and temp of 80 celsius while everything is fine. Anybody else has experience with this type of monitor? Agent selling it has disapeared

Seller disappeared, item malfunctioning What more can you say?

I saw these for sale in oz some time back. With the dust ,the moisture and all the other hazards a 4wd tyre goes through ,its unlikely any radio transmitter being spun around at 400 times a minute is going to work for long.

If your losing tyres on dirt roads, maybe you need a better tyre.

My friend's 97 corvette has these sensors. Not sure if they can handle off road rigors but it's possible.

I thought they may have had some potential on trailer tyres. I can usually feel if a tyre on the vehicle is losing air.
