3 wipers setup - Mitsi

There doesn't seem to be any problem with people posting none Toyota related stuff - so here goes.

I have a 1975 SWM Mitsi J26 "Jeep".
The two wiper set-up could be improved by adding a 3rd wiper. I've seen some around on other 4x4s and wondered if there are any kits about?

My wiper pivots and motor (12v) are mounted on the top of the frame.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Kind regards
Bernard

I think the double blade wipers would be as effective at a much lower cost and effort. I had a set and they worked very good on Canada's wet coast. When they were worn I replaced them with the cheaper single blade ones but would consider getting them again if I was going to a place with very heavy rain.

Thanks for the suggestion.

My problem is that the way the pair are located means that 1/2 of the passenger side doesn't get cleared.
I can't use longer blades as they would catch on the bottom of the frame.

Try playing with the geometry of the wiper linkages (assuming it is linkages not cable) to alter the amount of sweep of the arms.

If you do need to get new wipers try marine chandleries. They sell kits for fitment to boats.

Kits for boats - that sounds like it could provide the answer.

Many thanks for the ideas.
