Who has Dealt With Pangaea Expeditions?

Pertaining to gathering supplies and equipment for expeditions, I have had several emails not returned and they don't answer their phone. Unless they are out on expeditions, that is not how I rn my business. The owner, Nathan, has been spoken highly of over on the Expedition Portal forums. I was just wanting some stuff that Slee and others in the area cannot supply. Any comments?

I ordered some Scepter water cans from Pangea about 3 years ago, service was fast and I had no complaints.

In all honesty this is kind of a common problem with pangaea. Great guy, super nice but I think he kind of got overwhelmed with his workload.

what items are you looking for?

I saw he had 80-series snorkels listed for 289. He had a EA Series 2 RRT on sale and wanted to see if he's ready to blow it out. He also listed AO can carriers for roof racks pretty cheap.

The idea that he's up in Northern CO appealed to me...

Weird I posted the same question a few years ago....the lack of response made me very wary of buying something from them.....I e-mailed them 4X on stuff.....never a reply....I'll never give them another chance.

I guess keep trying.

I've had the same bad luck with pangaea and it's a common story with others... Not the kind of customer service I prefer.

It seems that while the web site is still up, Nathan has closed Pangea...

Can I suggest www.sierraexpeditions.com

Wil is a great guy to work with...he personally delivered some last minute Engel fridge stuff to me at the Expedition Trophy!

Thanks for the info.

I have talked to a gent (forgot his name) at EQUIPT1. He was very informative regarding the Q's I had on the Adventure Trailers, their can carriers, and RRT's.

I had the same experience with Pangea. Sounds like if they're in, they're on the ball, but if they're out . . .

Paul May runs Equipt, stand up guy and good friend, knows what customer service is and how important it is.

I had sent an email about buying a fridge from Pangea and never received a respons. Siera Expeditions has been great about returning emails and propmt shipping.

I agree, from personal experience that Paul May (equipt1) and Wil (sierraexpeditions) are all great to deal with.

The new outfitter in town is a fellow mudder Boston Mangler, www.bajaoverland.com I've dealt with him the most - he rocks.

I've purchased from both of these fine gentlemen and would do it again without hesitation. I've talked with Will on the phone, nice guy. I've wheeled with Paul once in Moab, real nice guy. Both companies ship fast and accurate.

We've dealt with the 3 following companies and can't complain about a single thing with any of them. All 3 are great companies.

- Sierra Expeditions
- Baja Overland
- Expedition Exchange
