I just dropped the cruiser off at the paint shop! Hope to have it back by the beginning of next week. Here is the paint I ended up with,
Nason single stage urethane, reducer and hardener:
I also bought a can of paintable chip guard for the rockers and nose
All together, it came to just under $200.

I liked it a little better than the 4E9. I looked at some chips and the 464 was just a little lighter. Would I have been happy with 4E9? probably, the two are very similar. I just felt the lighter shade would go better with some disco stripes...

that was me! I haven't had a chance to look it over in detail, but I am pretty happy with how it turned out, 464 is a great color. The paint job cost me $700 total ($300 materials, $400 labor). here are a couple pics from this evening after unloading it...

Looks great! Cant wait to see this start to come together. If you find a location for the discos at a resonable price let me know. There are a few threads about discos on the 60's section.
What color is the interior paint?

It whole interior was not painted. just around the door and window frames etc. I am debating laying down some por15 or something on the floor and under body, but i haven't decided yet.

I would put the stuff that matt in the 45 section used on his 45lv and lpb and your underbody. It was great stuff, and if it can withstand MN winters then its got to be good stuff!

box 1 has arrived
The rest of it should be here Monday.
I've started running a few numbers on the suspension and have a couple pretty good options.
Current Plans for the rear:
I will most likely do a fully triangulated 4-link in the rear. There seams to be no practical way to neutralize roll steer with parallel lowers. This means I will need to fabricate a cross member for the lower link frame mounts, but probably won't use a rear panhard. The upper links will have 1"-2" adjustability in length, and 1"-2" vertical adjustablilty at the frame mounts to maintain neutral handling different spring configurations (see springs below).
Current plans for the front:
Space is going to be an issue up front, so I still plan to use a 3-link with panhard. I am still exploring geometries for the front, and will need to get the powertrain in place before it can be finalized. The upper link will have the same adjustablilty as the rears if necessary.
*All links will have johnny joints one the frame end, and bushings on the axle end.
Springs:
The OME850/863J's are going to be tall. I am going to try and keep it a true 4" lift, which is the upper limit of what I am shooting for. I may pick up a set of regular OME850/863's as well. The idea would be to run the no more than 3" of lift and 33" tires for DD, and then loaded down with gear, I could swap in the 863J's to keep the rear level. If I win the lottery maybe I can even get a set of 35"s as well to run with the J's all around for weekend trail rides.
