Yaesu 7800 tricks

So i have the software and cable, downloaded an excel file from the interweb of all the repeaters in socal and norcal and did some editing to the file. put all the local ones at the top of the list, and the rest i just filtered by freq.

does anyone know the shortcut for doing a scan of just your memories in this rig?

I don't want it to hit anything unless I have it programmed.

Thanks for the tips.

by the way, that software rules, and the cable found the COM port without touching a thing in XP.
Had it loaded in about a minute and a half.

If anyone else has it and wants to swap .78r files, i'd be down with that.

well, I bastardized a few others I found and came up with a good amount of repeaters.
problem is, I can't tell how popular they all are, or if the info is all up to date.

I can see that I have over 200 in there, but want the scan to be just memory stations.

I didn't want to have to set them all up in PMS or in one bank with an upper and lower set.

Why not?

Setting up the memories in banks with the software is easy. Then you link the banks however you want them, then do a MBLSCAN (Memory-Bank-Linked-Scan). When you get the bank config you like then set it to MBLSCAN and store that config in a Hypermemory. Store the non-Scan mode in another Hypermemory then all you have to do is press 1 button to start scanning and another button to go Memory mode and another to go to VFO mode.

A great option for the programming cable is: Welcome to ttl2usb.com

Rob is a ham and a Cruiserhead. He stands behind is product too. Quick shipping and great pricing.
