Legal Headlights?

Hey im thinking of putting some lights on top of my jeep i just want to know if they are street legal.

Here in BC they are only legal on-road if they are covered. However, I see lots of uncovered one on rigs. Guess cops have better things to do than chase these guys down.

can i use them along with my regular headlights at night. like have the rooflights on and my headlights

The kind of wheeling we do down here, those would last about 1/2 a run before some random tree branch took them off for you.

More than likely you can't use them legally with your headlights at night. I guess it all depends where you live.

How would you feel if you see a vehicle going the other way with headlights and roof lights on at the same time?

In California, if they are above the headlights, they have to be covered and use off-road only.

I asked a cop friend about this. he called it in and confirmed not only what you said above, but no more than five light above/higher than the stock lights.
