Expo Portal Ham Radio Net - 04 DEC 07 @ 19:00 PST

... on the Western Reflector node #9251 Topic is: Suspension Upgrades http://www.expeditionportal.com/foru...ead.php?t=9620 This is an opportunity to use some advanced features of HAM and Talk about off roading and trucks with folks around the country. It’s easy – you just find a repeater that will allow IRLP connections and while you key the mic you enter 9251 and when you release the reflector will announce that you are connected. Key the mic and enter 73 to disconnect (you must always do this when you are done) If you want some info check here - http://www.irlp.net/guidelines.html Please sign up to be added to the check in list or check in as a visitor! __________________ ======================================== Michael G in SF -89 FJ62 (We call her Tomato Red) -97 Saab 900se -.- .. -.... . .-.. --.. http://home.earthlink.net/~cabrito/ It’s better to be late than on time and waiting… |

I'd like to join in.
How do I find a repeater that won't mind me hogging their signal? Most of the ones I have pre-programmed already have significant traffic. It sounds like I need a live but unused local repeater. Any suggestions? __________________ Andrew 1971 FJ-40 Rubicon tested, 2F powered, some mods 1976 FJ40 Rusting slowly in the back yard 1984 FJ-60 H55f, 4.11, Now SOA! 1989 FJ-62 117k-son's driver for now-low and slow 1997 FZJ-80 Driveway queen |

Andy, Try the NARCC website for other IRLP repeaters in your area - http://www.narcc.org/ - the notes area of the repeater will have the letter i and he node number of that repeaters IRLP node. - mg .. __________________ ======================================== Michael G in SF -89 FJ62 (We call her Tomato Red) -97 Saab 900se -.- .. -.... . .-.. --.. http://home.earthlink.net/~cabrito/ It’s better to be late than on time and waiting… |

I wish I could be more helpful. I have only experimented with the Mt. Diablo repeater 14X.060 and the one I am currently using. I use 444.850 and probably wont reach Redwood City. It's only good for the east side of the city to the Eastbay towards Richmond. You could try though. Try the NARCC website for IRLP repeaters in your area. __________________ ======================================== Michael G in SF -89 FJ62 (We call her Tomato Red) -97 Saab 900se -.- .. -.... . .-.. --.. http://home.earthlink.net/~cabrito/ It’s better to be late than on time and waiting… |
