Mounting a XM Radio in an LC100

Friends, after several attempts to get my VaisTech integrated XM radio to work, I have decided to go old school and get a regular head unit for my XM radio. I was thinking of mounting it to replace the ashtray or on a stem coming out of the small (1x3inch) wallet holder next to my gear shifter.

Does anyone have any other unique ideas that keep the dash uncluttered and wires hidden. I would enjoy a very clean look.
