Opinions: Pioneer AVIC-Z1 vs. Kenwood DDX-8017

including the KNA-G510 nav unit. The biggest features that interest me are: Navigation, IPOD abilities, and DVD/TV tuner capabilities. Pros/Cons? Is the Pioneer worth the extra $$?

Seriously. Get a Mac Mini.
You'll not only have iPod support, but iTunes in your car. Play DVD, CDs, GPS, etc.
And will a little ingenuity, mobile Internet. You'll be able to read mud anywhere.

Anybody on mud with this type of setup?? I am interested in hearing more...I actually need a mobile computer for my business, and was considering purchasing a laptop this week.

Do a search on ROTW on the 80s section. There was a rig with a MacMini installed with a nice 7" screen.

Regards

Alvaro

Just did a DNX7100 in my 80. Had a AVIC-D2 with the G510 unit until it was stolen. The only feature I liked in the Pioneer was being able to look up addresses by putting in a phone number. As far as detail and other items, the DNX is far better. I have the Ipod/Tv Tuner/Bup/HD Radio. If I remeber correctly the pioneer does not offer HD Radio and the Ipod adapter didn't play videos.
