Garmin 2610 -- Opinions?

I found a good deal on a reconditioned Garmin 2610 that fits in the budget. Has anyone tried it? I was looking at a GPSmap 76CSX or 60CSX but this looks pretty interesting.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I bought the same reconditioned unit from Ebay. Before I had Street Pilot III (Top of the line at that time) but I sold it with my 80. Only a couple things I can find the 2610 wont do. One is navigate by way of bearings but I dont use it for the water. The other is back track a route and I can live with that. The 2610 does not have battery power only 12v or 110v. For the $700 differance of my old unit I can live with the 2610.
The 2610 has remote and at first I thought I would not use it but it rocks. Touch screen is nice but I like using the remote to keep finger prints off the screen. The remote makes navigating the screens of the unit much easer in my book. The big bonus on the 2610 is it uses CF data cards (cheap) not the overpriced Garmin cards. I have 1 card for City navigator 1 for the entire USA on Topo and 1 for Mexico Nor and Sur on Topo.

Bottom line I see the 2610 as a bargin.

Side note: I tried the new NUVI series first from Garmin because of the size and long battery life and it sucks in my book. A lot of the new fancy unit dont even have a track log. A minumin requirement for a off road GPS.

I just got one and really like it so far, but I have never owned another GPS so I do not have anything to compare it to. I will try and post some pictures of how I mounted it.

I went ahead and purchased the 2610. At $195 including the latest City Navigator disks it was hard to pass up. I love the unit so far. How are you guys running power to the 2610? I'd like to keep the audible directions but hate giving up my only 12V outlet.

Thanks.

I actually took apart the power cord that came with mine and wired it to the fuse box and relocated to speaker as well. It was not too bad.
