Mohawk / Husky - Diesel Max

http://www.mohawk.com/products/downloads/DieselMax.pdf

A cetaneenhancer helps prevent harmful pre-ignition. A corrosion inhibitor and a lubebility additive, combined with Diesel Max’sTM superior lubrication properties, minimize engine wear.

So would you still use some pump lube?

Thanks

GB

yes I would. Its not all that expense for extra lube. I don't think having extra lube would be hurtful. And with our older gen injection pumps with mechanical poppets and wear points designed for oily fuels....not even sure if the diesel Max gets it to 1984 lubricity levels......

If I owned a newer diesel built for our market, I would skip the lube. Which I did lots in my TDI golf. I maybe used lube everyother time or less.

My neighbour has been using Stanadyne Lubricity Formula for years with good results, and now I'm using the Stanadyne Performance Formula, seems to be good. http://www.stanadyne.com/new/ppt/ppt_dfa.asp

I use what ever lube designed for adding diesel lubrication I find. Rather than chain oil or atf. Even crappy tire I use.

There is no way of knowing the difference. Buy what you find or buy what is priced good. Nothing to say a brand name is going to be better than canadian tire brand.

Motor master 3 in 1 conditioner is OEM aproved and is made in Canada..

How ever my question is..

A cetane enhancer helps prevent harmful pre-ignition. A corrosion inhibitor and a lubebility additive, combined with Diesel Max’sTM superior lubrication properties, minimize engine wear.

So would you still use some pump lube? In other words do you trust mohawk lube?

PS is this chat BB?

I fill up at Husky and add my goop every tank. I figure it is cheap insurance, and also builds the habit of putting it in every tank, so when I am traveling and filling up in areas unfamilur...

Tried plenty of products...

I've tried plenty of products over the 10 years I have owned my BJ60, but now that I have discovered "Stanadyne " there will be no switching back.

"Stanadyne" is the first product that I have had a noticably smoother idle, less smoke and a quieter engine... having over 400,000 Km, that product talks to me.
