Anybody import JDM LC through KK Trading?

Wondering if anybody has any feedback on KK Trading Inc. exporting LC's to Canada out of Japan.

Thanks,

Peter

i know Rising Sun uses these guys for most of their imports.
the only word of caution i can give you is should you have any problems with the unit you are purchasing you have no recourse. if you buy from a importer (and in some provinces even a curber) you have goverment adgencies that will help you should you end up buying a truck that has serious flaws.

one excellent case to look at is Robin (Light duty) and his poor baby LJ78 he brought in.

best of luck Peter.

cheers

Thanks Wayne, your adivce is very much appreciated and I'm convinced a reputable importer is the way to go. But where are the HZJ73's... Will I be forced to buy an HDJ81 instead Why is life so complicated...

Hi Peter, patience if you buy because you are impatient then you could end up with trouble.

Before I started importing I asked KKtrading for a truck, they never had any in stock and took a longtime to even get an email returned from them. I figured it was going to be a long time if I went through them as they supply importers and customers.

Something will turn up, will just take time - and money. The next few good HZJ that show up at auction will cost alot of money. There have been very few at auction in the last few months - so buyers will pay a premium just to get one.

Just the name of the game I guess.

Regards

Although I have yet to get a truck from either of them, you just got replies from the two most reputable guys that work side by side with importers and will stand behind yer truck, of cousre it depends a bit on yer location, I think Wayne and Ishobie are some stand up guys, they have even helped me out fixing things on my rusty old CDM spec that I made the mistake buying beside a curb.

Live and learn...

my next truck will come from one of them, fer sure!

Yep, buddy of mine brought one in through them. They were good to deal with, answered emails right away and he got his HJ61 in good time and at a reasonable cost.... and then.... He had to change out the suspension because it was not safe and.... there was a little problem with the engines appetite for coolant. The head came off and it checked out ok. It came down to a cracked block or that was the last guess. Moroso block seal was added and off he went to Haiti with his family and his HJ61. It's been a year and a half- no problems. A lot of stress along the way though. Go with an importer...

I have not bought anything through Wayne (yet...?), but he always seems willing to chinwag and answer all my questions.

Pay now or pay later, I guess.
