Question adjusting 1HZ valve clearances...

23Jul2005 (UTC +8)

Are the shims needed to adjust the intake/exhaust valve clearances, the same as for the 1HD-T and 1HD-FT? I think the answer is yes but I'm not so sure...

Is it also the same for other Toyota engines, like the 1FZ-FE and 2UZ-FE? If yes, I think that'll help me get stuff from CruiserDan

And why do Toyota valves seem to tighten over time? I first thought they'd widen, but I was wrong.

All the valve clearances on my 1HZ are 0mm! I don't know the history, so I don't know how long has this problem been. What could happen if I let it like that?
