Parking brake adjusment
My parking brake does not work properly, so tried to adjust, following the Toyo Body & chassis repair manual. Turned the adjusting nut, near the transfercase, counterclockwise, but it blocked whilst the rear axle was still movable. Does this mean the braking shoes are gone and should be replaced?

I'd check that before suspecting the P-brake adjustment.
My personal rule of thumb is, if the P-brake seems out of adjustment, it's probably time for a brake job. And the P-brake adj is the last step before test driving. __________________ Jonathan M. Check your drum pads .. if your drum brakes are tied and pads in good chape, maybe you don't need to readjust anymore ..
