Power steering leak..

My power steering is leaking right where the steering colum shaft and the gear box meet.. Now I hae the bolt out of the knuckle and the shaft moves quite freely. The problem is that I can't get the power steering knuckle all the way off without the colum shaft getting in the way. It needs about 1/4inch more and the rubber between won't compress enough. How do I get that out of the way?

And where do i get a rebuild it or a new gasket for it? In Canada?
