Does anyone know if fuel and temp guages are interchangeable between 12v and 24v 40"s I have a bj with no guages and a 71 fj with nice clean guages will they survive a transplant???

The 40 fuel and temp gauges are the same whether it is 12V or 24V, the oil pressure gauge aren't.
