70 series rear hubs on an FZJ-80 rear axle?

I was wondering if it was possible to bolt on 93-99 7X series rear hubs on FZJ-80 rear axles? I have been told this is possible, but I am not sure and I was wondering if anyone is actually running this setup currently?

I'm the one who discussed this with you via PM. Maybe some of our Aussie members can add, but other than the absence of the ABS paraphrenalia, depth of the brake rotors and the wheel mounting flange location w.r.t. the wheel hubs, the parts are identical. Too bad my axle housing is in storage but I hope to run this configuration under my truck someday.

If you find me some 80 series axle shafts, I might be able to start this project sooner

What would be the advantage of doing this? Why not stay with the 80 series hubs on the 80 series axle?

The advantage is that I can put the rear FZJ-80 axle with FF/lockers/disk brakes/and parking brake in the rear of my FJ-62. The axle is $1000 or less with the locker. But the FJZ-80 axle is a little wider than the front 62 axle so with the 70 series hubs the width becomes almost equal. This is just what I have been told as I don;t have a 70 series axle hear to try it and I would like to know if it works before I try to source parts. The cost for all of those options is much more than $1000 so it is worth it, and the parking brake is a factory setup.

beanz2,
I remember it was you who turned me on to this idea, but I was hoping to hear from somebody who is running this set-up now.
