Powdercoating?

Howdy All,

Just wondering what you guys think of powdercoating the front chrome brush gaurd/moose deflector black that are on a lot of these Japanese imoprts to reduce glare at night to the driver/passenger. Would that stuff stick? Any ideas on cost? Would it just chip off? I was thinking of using black electricians tape too very cost effective

What about getting it lined? A lot of the local "redneck bullbars" get rhino-lined (or the equivalent), I think it looks pretty good.

The best stuff you can put on it is turbo liner, it is better than line X. I was told by the local body shop it's the best stuff, it is only in the states though. I was told it is so tuff that the only way to get it off is to grind it and it sparks like you are grinding metal, you can hit it with a hammer and it won't even chip. Gets like 90% of it strength in the first minute, goes on hot.

Still havin't had any experience with it, but it is worth a shot, I know powder coating is really goo too, I got my quad frame done in it and havin't seen a scratch to bare metal yet.

cheers

Thanks guys,

I did try a small patch of bedliner spray but it flakes off with ease. Eric, that turbo liner - what is that? Is that the actual brand name? Any idea where youd buy somthing like that in the US? like NAPA maybe? The tape route for now....

scuff up where you want to spray and shoot it with hippo liner (or what ever) but you need to prep the surface first...
