2h edic woes

Just wondering if anyone has a fuel control relay for an hj60 (24v). The cruiser starts up fine then shuts off after a few seconds. There is a click in the relay and the edic shuts the cruiser down so I'm guessing its the relay. Also, anyone who has bypassed the edic altogetther- would you mind walking me through it. I understand how it works but would love some input as to what you used, where you routed the manual rod etc...

thanks,
David

I'm with Wayne. Check your low oil pressure switch and wiring. I don't know where they are on HJ60's but on BJ60's they are right next to the oil pressure sender. If I'm not mistaken they shut the engine down on grounding out.

Thanks guys, you were right. I still don't know the exact culprit as a lot of wiring was exposed but I'm narrowing it down... After finishing the wiring i hooked it all back up gave it a go. It started and died again (the pressure needle hasn't budged). Tried a few more times and bam the needle jumped to half-way and the motor kept chugging. It may be a faulty sensor or connector.

thanks again.

mine does the same if I don't goose the throttle for about a second.... low oil pressure cutoff.
the pickup is on the side of the 2H- same spot as the oil pressure sender.
