Starter contacts for 3B found at Lordco. Part number from the Lordco invoice as follows:
Starter contacts: Wilson 45-29-6522 less than $10
Plunger: Wilson 45-29-6452 $12
Internal IC Regulator: Wilson 62-29-16029 looks the same but not yet tested (it's my spare) about $70

Oil filters 30002-8T vs 30002
Got a new Toyota oil filter for a 1HD-FTE engine. The number is 90915-30002-8T, by Denso.
I also have a filter without the 8T at the end. Anybody knows the difference?

The 90915-30002s I got have a different Denso number, 115410-0161. Are you sure about your number?

The old 90915-30002 I've got has the same Denso number you have on your's.
The new 90915-30002-8T is Denso # BT115410-0840, made in Thailand.
Haven't figured out the difference yet.

NOTE that "to" indicates a range of sizes.
The metric size number is the belt width in millimeters and the belt length in millimeters.
thus 15A1195 to 15A1205 indicates a belt length between 1.195 meters and 1.205 meters, or ~47 inches to ~47.5 inches
note that the correct Toyota part numbers are also indicating the length in millimeters.

No rotary pumps use the diaphagm, I don't think. Neither do the inline pump on the 13BT or 12HT, or 2H with auto trans.

1HD-T ACL Engine Bearings in the US
For those who have been looking for an independent source of engine bearings for the 1HD-T, Hastings Manufacturing in Michigan (800-847-5521) has the ACL bearings in stock. They will sell direct retail if you have a credit card. The distributor in Canada will not (they only sell to registered dealers).
The Connecting Rod Bearings (6B8396 - STD) are $35.83
The Main Bearings (7M8397) are $50.62.
UPS ground shipping in the US is, I'm told, about $5.00.
Prices as of today, May 07, 2007
Sheldon: Sorry for being so harsh on you about your pricing. With everything you include (bearings, bolts and plastigauge), considering you must be getting them abroad as well, CDN$105 is good price for the whole kit.

1979 BJ40 fitted with B series 2977cc diesel engine
Here are some of the numbers I have for regularly-purchased items:
Air Filter: Ryco A340, FRAM CA376, Unifilter UC210-152S
Oil filter:Ryco Z9 (or Z115), AC PF2, Highway 51016, FRAM PH8A
Fuel filter: Ryco Z127 (or Z169 or Z169A), FRAM P4178 but some of these filters are taller than others which is why I moved the filter location from the engine to the side of the battery-support. - For easier changing and to allow the taller (more readily available and cheaper) filters to be fitted.
Radiator top hose: CH1328
Radiator bottom hose: CH1336
Brake and Clutch pedal pads: Silentruba A1308
Wheel bearing & seal kits for each wheel (full floating): SAECO TF002
Injector pump diaphragm: DENSO 090580-0041

The charge lamp relay for Toyota Part 2779013010 (mentioned above) cross-references to Napa Auto Parts Part : ECHAR250 and is listed as "Charge Lamp Relay" or "Accessory Relay" or "Instrument Relay". It is Mfg. by 'Echlin Products'.
It retails for a whopping $86.00 (USD as of 10/2007).
