will an 1982 bj42 radiator fit into a 1977 fj40 without and mods on the radiator holder (not sure of the technical name)?

He has the 77 rad.

I will measure up the FJ45 tomorrow and compare it with my 42, sorry for the late reply.

if it is a 77 gasser rad then the inlet and outlet are on the wrong sides. buy yourself a brand new 42 rad and get the proper hoses. it is a straight bolt in. the BJ42 lower rad hose will not work on a gasser rad...
cheers

I know about the hoses being on opposite sides I was wondering if the rad size is the same and will just slide into the radiator housing or not
