4.4 V8 twin turbo diesel 2007

Any of you guys got the Feb editon of 4x4 Australia?
Its got a full page spread on the 130 series due to begin volume production in Jan 2007

4.4 V8 twinturbo diesel ,220kw and 580nm with possible Aisan 6 sp tiptronic

The V engine is formed from 2 x 4cyl 1CD-FTE motors joined at the hip.

I cant help thinking they got some of the design styling off that FJ concept, may because they painted the prototype a similar blue or maybe its the mirrors

No word if they will continue the old diesels with solid axle

TB...you can't keep being that bitter, man! You won't live long enough to enjoy more forbidden Cruisers.

For those of you (like me) who need the imperial measurements. That's 295 hp and 428 ft/lbs

This might be the ideal Cruiser powerplant. It will be light and plenty of torque but not so much that you automatically break all your drivetrain.

TB I sense you are becoming a bit jaded. I'm pretty disgusted about the current Toyota diesel situation in NA but I keep hearing about this super duper Texas built pickup that they want to compete with the big three. I don't think 428 ft/lbs will do it but it will be a start.

It doesnt say if US customers wil get the diesel but the 130 Landcruiser will share a similar chassis with the US only Sequoia wagon and Tundra ute and a Lexus 550?.
The body styling was done by Toyota california.

There is nothin on the net that I can find.
Ill see if scan it later.

Hint : Its copied the raised hood look that the Nissan Titan,Dodge and Jeep have on their current vehicles and prototypes and the cows head badge has become as big as a football to remind us it is still a landcruiser

if it shares the chasis with the Lexus 550, I will assume it will have a 5.5ltr motor, prolly a gasser V8

Yep 5.5 all alloy and the V6 as well with the old manual 5 sp and independant coil rear axle.
Dealers in oz have to "lock down "their model preference by august 05.
You got remember though, these scoops in 4x4 magazines can go horribly off target
