11B & 13B???

Guys, were the 11B and 13B engine turbos or N-A? I ask because I notice from the online manual that they have the same injector opening pressure as the 13B-T engine. If they are not turbos, why the higher specs?

I ask because I wonder if my 3b-2 should have the higher opening pressures too.

I realize the 13BT is a turbo, what I need to know is if the 13B and 11B were turbos. Without the "T" i would presume not turbo.

that is why i broke it down...
the direct injection would run the same pressure wether turbo'd or not...

The 11B was used in Dyna trucks, the 13B was used in Coaster buses. Both are naturally aspirated, direct injected engines.

The different configurations of Toyota diesels is mind boggling.
If the engines 13B and 11B are naturally asp diesels would that mean they are turbo ready?
Do all the Bs use the same crank/main bearings ect?

I saw a strange looking 2001 Dyna/Coaster hybrid for sale in Japan.
Dyna cab with Coaster or Hiace rear.
What made it look odd was the bus roof was lower than the Dyna cab and it had a 4B,all factory

I found a 1984 Coaster bus in Australia with a 3B engine and a Daihatsu Delta dump truck with a 3B engine. These things are everywhere.

Ah yeah ,the old 3B coaster school bus,my old school had 3 of them and a FJ55 with troopy seats in the rear.
You got no idea what slow means till your on a fully loaded 3B coaster in 100F

Now the kids ride around in these 1HD FT powered jobs with aircon.
I was along side one of these on the freeway the other day and no hill could slow it down

Apart from the engine there is numerous small parts that would interchange with a cruiser

as well as Wayne's point on the break-down of Toyota's alpha-numeric code, (though few North american have ever seen one in their diesels) don't forget about the infamous F sub-designation (not the gas F series mind you) -- four valves per cylinder!!! 15B-FT (MEGACRUISER)!

Oh no, the B didnt escape getting fitted to Dynas and Coasters and neither did the F petrol
