Turbo B manifold

What Do you thinks about my Homemade log type headers for my 1979 B engine

The headers is made from 1 1/2 Water pipe. Build for a HT18-2S twin scroll turbo and an external wastegate. I need to drill an other hole for the EGT.

I would enlarge the last set of bolt holes at each end to allow for differential expansion. The head will likely expand at a different rate than the manifold.

I'd cut 1/8" slits between each exhaust port on the big flat plate. That will help offset some of the expansion.

Get a Remflex gasket for it.

how come nobody told me to do that on my custom manifold. i don't mean to put you down dude but that is one ugly manifold, not saying its not strong but please put a heat shield over it, and don't show your friends.

did you heat up those cast elbows before welding or did u use a high nickle rod to do it?

First of all for Ten box, I will never do a more beautiful manifold then that . An ugly manifold for an Old iron pig... It's not a showroom trucks ... So... why do it cute... I don't put blacklight inside the hood to show my rusty B motor with 80hp... My Hyundai accent 2002 with 1.6 16v have more HP then my truck

I need a turbo to turn my 33'' wheel that I want. So I do it cheap but tuff enought. I have a familly, 2 car, an house.. wife, son , etc.. I don't have money to paie 500 box for a turbo manifold.

For now... ht18-2s turbo 100$
waste gate 50$
manifold home made 10$
3.8l tunderbird intercooler 50$
water tube, oil tube 50$
pvc tube 20$... with that I will run 33'' tire

Ugly or not... whatever you say The hood close... you can pay 3000$ for your turbo.. but if you do the same thinks then me... why do you pay 3000$ for your setup.

Thanks for all other's that help me, My manifold will be maybe the ugliest one but it's will work héhé

Wow. Words cannot express the feelings I have for your creation.
That being said, even an ugly retarded chick could be alot of fun in bed with the lights off. Good job.

If you were going to use the PVC for intercooler piping I would reconsider. Rad hose would be cheap and work as well. It is also designed for some heat and pressure.
