Outback Imports, who are they?
just came across these guys.
they have some 90 hj80's coming in, as well as typical Jap Spec imports. Nice site. http://outbackimports.ca/index.html |

they seem to be pretty reasonable and they import some quality cruisers. the downside is they're kinda in the middle of nowhere, whitehorse, yukon i believe.

This is odd. Why are the HJ-61's, which are older than the HDJ-81VX's with more miles, more money? |

Hey Land Pimper. Do you think we could more easily import diesel 80's into the US (after they have been imported into Canada) because the 80 series was imported (like the FJ60/HJ60 issues) into the US? I mean the 74 was never brought in anywhere around here.
Id LOVE an HDJ80. I'll wait till Canada can get the middle 90's versions though. TB __________________ 2001 VW TDI Bora 1987 Toyota HZTJ-60 I'm a democrat member of the House of Representatives, and I've got what it takes to take what you've got!

i am sorry Landpimp but i can not do such a thing...
you have to realise the complications, you could loose all your investment and have the feds watch you from that day forward... you could get charged with smuggling... even if you did get a 74 registered as a 70 then the insurance (heaven forbid if you get into a serious accident) could refuse payment... it really is not worth the risk unless you have a lot of spare cash floating around and you don't mind the risk... in this case it might be best to contact that gent on ebay and see if he could help you out... no offense cheers Wayne BTW, if you have a residence up here you might be able to pull it off... not sure if that will work or not... |

Come on, take some risk will you. Cant wait to get my 74. Seems to me an 80 would be especially easy. TB __________________ 2001 VW TDI Bora 1987 Toyota HZTJ-60 I'm a democrat member of the House of Representatives, and I've got what it takes to take what you've got!

could you possibly import one (HDJ80) as a "show vehicle"
here in California I have seen quite a few rare RHD cruisers that are on display at Spector off road of course they probobly arent daily drivers but non the less they are here and have California plates. anyone know the details of importing under the guise or dis guise of "for show purposes" |
