I have a dead 1KZ-T with pefect stock turbo on it. I don't know its specs but was wondering if it's better that CT26 that comes with a 13B-T.
Actually, the turbo on 13B-T, CT26 spits some oil in air intake. Was wondering if the swap would be good idea. |

CT12B
Yes it'd be a good match. __________________ VOODOO Engineering: Doing it first time with one clay doll, not four times with two. |

Is there much difference between the ct12a and the ct12b? Looking at the CT12a on a Soarer I have they look quite small and can't produce much more 16psi safely.
What turbo comes on the 2lte? anyone know |

For example the CT20 is the small turbo found on the 2.4 litre 2LT, where the CT20B is big enough that the ricers chase after them, rumoured to flow more air than the CT26. __________________ VOODOO Engineering: Doing it first time with one clay doll, not four times with two. |

I don't have a 13B CT26 to check but have a CT12B and it's quite a bit smaller than the 1HD or the 7MG CT26s. Physically it's slightly bigger than a CT20, anyway it works so well on a KZ it can't be bad on a 13B with only marginal additionnal displacement and lower power curve.

Wouldn't CT12B (that you say comes with a 1KZ-T) be smaller than CT26? And wouldn't smaller turbo mean lower power i.e. lower PSI/CFM?
Please compare CT26 with CT12B. I have noticed that CT12B is indeed smaller than CT26. |

TOYOTA turbochargers, TOYOTA turbo, TOYOTA turbocharger, TOYOTA diesel injection The CT12B is a later generation turbo than the CT26, as turbo design progresses more airflow is possible from a physically smaller turbo. Given the 1KZ has more power than the 13BT had, it's fair to say the CT12B turbo will have enough airflow capacity. In fact some of the 15BT's (larger than the 13BT) used the CT12B. __________________ VOODOO Engineering: Doing it first time with one clay doll, not four times with two. |

Is there anything like CT26B?
Seems CT26 has been used in newer 1HDs. I was once told by mechanic that he can provide me with two turbos of 1KZ-T for in exchange of my CT26. I was surprised back then. He never told me the reason but now I know. |
