use the same tank, block off the lines you do nto need.
your fuel line is the same one the gass fuel pump was hooked to

there is no return line on a 3B, the 13BT does as well as all rotory pumps (Toyota)
you will need a vent so eitehr a venting gas cap or a vent line.

someone correct me if i am wrong...

Do you need to add an electric fuel pump or the 3B prim fuel pump on the injectore pump can suck fuel from the tank. Also does anyone have a picture of which line on the FJ is the fuel inlet and which one is the return ?

I think mine is mixed and can not tell which is what.

The gassers,by law,had to vent though the charcoal canisters and then had another line running from the canister into the front RH rail to allow any other vapours to dissipitate.

However all the fuel caps on the 70 and 60 cruisers I have seen have a one way vent in the fuel cap to allow for expansion.

On my 1HZ ,I blocked off the vent and just have 2 lines . One for fuel supply and one for fuel return as the 1HZ returns its fuel to the tank, unlike the 3B

You could use the old vent line as a back up by adding a valve like the diff breather and elevating it to the height of the air filter.

Is it normal to hear air escape/ get sucked in (not sure which) I believe it's sucking, when you open the fuel fill cap? Pretty much a stock HJ60 (CDN spec).

Neither of my diesels do it. I used to have a petrol toyota truck and it would build up a lot of pressure in the heat. I was never sure if it was normal or not

I should have mentioned Im using one of these aftermarket lockable type caps . It has a one valve that allows air in to avoid vacuum problems.
Im not sure how it avoids pressure build up. Maybe the cap isnt tight enough or that white valve on the fuel lines allows it to let expanded gas out
No problems in 5 years and plenty use them here
