12HT and 2H starters the same??
Just wonderered if a starter from a 2H will work for my 12HT
|

I'm not 100% sure about this, but my calculated guess is; YES The blocks are the same, the clutch-housing are the same. So if they are both 24V it should be fine.

Yes, so long as the starter is the same 12v, or 24v as the case may be, as the rest of your truck.

I concur with Henry James. Also, the motors, solenoids & gearboxes are mechanically interchangeable between 12 & 24 volt units.
FYI: I own 1 of each style.
