another newby says thanks

Been lurking for quite a while and using all that great info that is available here. Just finished off the acsd block off plate on our new ( to us ) 1992 HDJ 81 and it was a snap. Just to let you all know the parts are easily available from Fred Holmes in Richmond B.C. and they shipped it the next day. Anyway thought I would say thanks to all those who have contributed to this board.

Thanks. My two boys like both of the diesels over the gasser but they have a few years to go yet before they get their hands on them. I will post up some pics of the cruiser family once I figure out how.

I had the 3b rebuilt a few years ago after 450k on her . I got used to driving in the slow lane on every hill but now that I drive a HDT it sure would be nice to put a tubo on the 3b. Really there is no comparison between the two trucks. The HDJ81 is waaayyyy more powerful and can accelerate up any hill I have done so far. I look forward to adding a few tech comments as I am not planning to leave the truck as is.
Thanks for the replies. Now off with the family for some holidays.
