Was spoted by a friend in Québec, very nice rig, as anyone ever seen it here on mud? is it own by a active mud member? From the mirror i would think it is from japan, but maybe someone with more knowledge will know better then me.

Not a BJ43
It's most likely a BJ44 (few differences). If it has the full floater, which I don't think it does then it is a BJ46.
You can tell it's not a 43 by the presses OEM fenders over the rear wheels. They were not an optionbefore 1981. my .02 __________________ 1981 JDM BJ44 RHD - Going under the knife soon! |

I don't know too much about BJ43-44 etc... from the TLC FAQ there ain't much about the difference.

And......... to my knowledge, 43's never came with a hardtop. All the ones I have seen, have been soft tops. __________________ Even REDNECKS Can Be GREEN! |

Hard Top 43 on the way
You guys are right - 43's had the rag -top and were marketed more toward farm use. I have 79 that came from Germany that will soon have a carefully crafted hard top. I'll post pictures when it's done.
