Injector maintenence question
I just pulled my injectors for a rebiuld for my first time. Should I try to clean out the injector ports of the biultup carbon. Port 4 looks pretty funky? Is there any other regular maintenence that I should do why I have dissasembled everything? Thanks in advance.

I'd have them redone while they are out. Tips are not something you try to fix if they are worn. You can put in new tips youself but you need a proper test bench to shim it to set the breaking pressure.

Agreed,
I meant that it was my first time to pull the injectors out. I am dropping them off at a diesel tech place in the morning. I figured that sicnce the air intake line, fuel injector lines are off, and the injectors are out, there might be something to check, or clean. |
