12HT please help identify parts
Hi Diesel fanatics!
If it helps, my 12Ht is from a HJ61 which had air conditioning. There is a vertical pipe in the rear of the head against the firewall and I am not sure if it is for a heater hose or if I can simply block it off. I have a unknown sensor located to the right of the oil pressure sensor. I **think** it may be something for the A/C or for the Glow-Screen circuit? But I really do not know. Anyone have a circuit diagram for this? Thanks for any help. __________________ N6LG - Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator 1982 FJ40 (HJ41), 12HT turbo diesel, H55, ARB locker, e-locker, Marks Gears, APRS 1997 LX450, 1HT-FT/H151 diesel conversion in process... 1972 FJ40 Fun Beater Rig, Bone Stock! |

OK,
I have another water temperature sensor near the thermostat for the the dashboard gauge. The one pictured is for the glow-screen system specifically, yes? On the rear heater hose, where is the return line? Does it just union with the front heater return? __________________ N6LG - Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator 1982 FJ40 (HJ41), 12HT turbo diesel, H55, ARB locker, e-locker, Marks Gears, APRS 1997 LX450, 1HT-FT/H151 diesel conversion in process... 1972 FJ40 Fun Beater Rig, Bone Stock! |

OurSauvage, thanks for the post.
Is this configuration supposed to be constantly circulating coolant through the rear heater? I wanted to block off this pipe. I've been looking for a clean way of capping it without the hoses rubbing since the engine vibration will wear them through. It would be nice to just unscrew the pipe and plug the hole. I've been afraid to twist the pipe because on older engines the pipe has broken off. I don't want to chance it here. __________________ N6LG - Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator 1982 FJ40 (HJ41), 12HT turbo diesel, H55, ARB locker, e-locker, Marks Gears, APRS 1997 LX450, 1HT-FT/H151 diesel conversion in process... 1972 FJ40 Fun Beater Rig, Bone Stock! |
