3b fires then shuts off?

so i drive my rig into the lake swim out wank home. i get the rig out dry it out swap my fuel cut off relay for a dry 1, bypass the glow plug computer (rip it out ) do up the old button and switch. all wat working fine then lost dash and running lights + brake lites but head and blinkers still work fine. and to boot truck fires up and shuts off due to the cuttoff relay, so i unhooked it from the fuelpump and bam it runs fine, goor oil pressure, good temp.

for a bit i would just shut it off and turn it on and it was all good? same goes with all my gauges and blowerfan. whats up? it still drives good.

i think it has to do with the little black box behind the kick cover for the drvers foot??

any help would be sweet

Thanx: Les and The Screeming Green Submarine

ps mine thw redkneck splling

How does one wank home?
Sorry, had to do it.

I'm thinking corrosion in your fuse block and a well soaked low oil cutoff. Did this thing go in the Salt Chuck or was it fresh water?

Watch and see if the EDIC is shutting off the truck. That will help narrow down what is causing the problems.

Most folks who have gone with a "Wilson switch" have eliminated the EDIC motor.

I had the exact same issue, the PO had done some sketcky trailer light wiring and it started blowing my engine fuse....

so there are some things to check... that's if the edic is stopping your truck, just pull the arm off and if it starts and runs you will have to shut it off manually just like the edic would regularly do...

if it isn't that try a little either while cranking, if that makes it run then it's glow plugs....

if nither of my suggestions work it could be water or air in the fuel... check fuel lines and purge the system
