You put the inter-cooler down low under the front bumber , right under the radiator like they do on the E70 Diesel X5 sd BMW, so when front bottoms out it gets ripped off.

$16,000 worth of damage coming over a rise on the beach, then nose dived it into the sand.

Happened about month ago, the guy picked it up the 3 days earlier, thought he would test it out, the 4x4 flat bed truck that came 20klm up the beach to pick it up and take it back to the dealer for repair cost $1,400 alone.

The "New 4.5?" duramax will be perfect for a 40 in the next few years. It's out for testing I read and will be in production who knows when but it should be great.

Do you mean the 7 litre version? I think Americans have looked at that and decided it was too wide. A 6.5 chev diesel would fit better.

No it is a 4.5 liter V8 designed for the half tons. Not yet in production. It is supposed to be a "real" GM diesel

The original question didnt mention which one and I doubt we will see any 4.5 in oz for a while

Sorry Rosco, I got a little off topic. I think he was talking about the big one that is being used today.
