Start 3B without key

I'm going to look at a 3B BJ42 today and the owner isn't around.

I need to start it without the key.

How do I manage this (I can imagine a lead from the battery to the starter).

owner lives in germany - bj42 is 2 hours drive from my house - auction ends thursday - owner in town first on friday.

guess i'll have to take his word it runs.

i live in switzerland, where honesty still prevails. sounds like the readers on this thread are livin' in the ghetto

ah no.... but we are not going to describe in details how to start a vehicle with out a key... sorry. And if someone does I will delete it.

We also don't over divulge details on kill switches.

Sorry if it's an honest non criminal request you are making. If you were more known on here, or have someone who is known that can vouch for you. Then someone might help in a PM. Not on the public viewing area.

I got the info I needed from Wikipedia - gotta love the Internet. Since the truck was buried in snow at 1200 meters I didn't bother to start it since I'd probably have to activate the glow plugs.

Like I said, I'll have trust the owner (even though he's not Swiss).

Sure would've liked to hear it run and test out the transmission though before I drop a bunch of cash.
