Finding Part Numbers? RHD Vs LHD

I have a JDM 1989 HJ60 and I need some parts for it. They sold the HJ60 in Canada but I need to some way to check the part numbers are the same between the RHD and LHD 60. It is also easier for me to order parts from the dealership if I have the part number. I have read something about this EPC but does it show RHD LHD differences?

I need a speedo cable and wonder if it's the same?

also need the part number to the Throw-Out bearing.

if you download the EPC you can put your JDM vin number in it and find the exact part number. Also if you put the region as Japan in the EPC they will all be RHD part numbers if there is a difference.

Try to get the download. I use mine all the time.

Is there a separate version of the EPC for each region? I downloaded it, and it came with some note about having the JDM database or something.

I've never run it because it has a bunch of weird instructions for installing it, like burning it to CD and copying it around or something... is there an easier version?

.
Any Toyota cable that is long enough works. Ive been using a $25 Hilux cable for 4 years. The only difference in the cables is that the Landcruiser has a thick sheath on the out side ,I think that can be slid over your new cable.
Otherwise ,a new cable from the dealer is $$$ No RH or LH cables, just cables.

Thanks for the info!

I installed the one from yankeetoys.com but it keeps giving me the not enough disk space error. I tried a few of the fixes but I can't seem to get it to work!!!

anywhere else I can get it from?

brownbear - I have the EPC and Japan database and I'm able to look up part numbers. However, I have not used this particular function

How does one find out the JDM VIN number on an HDJ81?
Looking at the vehicle plate in the engine compartment, I can only find the following:

Model No: S-HDJ81V-RNPEX
Engine: 1HD-T 4163cc
Frame No: HDJ81-0005095
Color Code: 183
Trim: FC10
Trans/Axle: A442F K294
Plant Code: A11

How long is the JDM VIN Number

I believe the JDM vin is 12 digits and in your case it would be what you have listed as your frame number

Frame No: HDJ81-0005095

on a side note I did get the one from yankeetoy.org but can't get it to work or the one I got from a torrent =[ I will keep tryin!

I agree.

My experience is that "VIN" and "Frame No." are two different terms for the same thing. As long as the frame number includes the "simplified model code" at the beginning - like "BJ42" (or "HDJ81" in this case).
