napa belt #s for '89 3B

Looking for napa or equivalent part numbers for the following OEM parts for an '89 3B:

water pump & alternator belt: 90916-02240
power steering belt: 99343-11510 (I think Napa 24607 works; can anyone confirm?)
A/C belt: 99322-01045

Why does Napa have none of these OEM Toyota numbers in their catalogues? Is it because they are JDM parts? Can Toyota Canada provide translations between the JDM part #s and NA ones?

I'm compiling a list of 3rd party part #s for the 3B manufactured between 88/08 and 90/01. Seems like there are quite a few differences to the earlier 3Bs. I'll post the list to the parts thread once it's done.

Cheers
Dave

The alt. belt on my 82 3B is Gates 15A1205 (Bought at NAPA). Not sure if it will cross with your 3BII, but I suspect so? The other two I can't help you with because my utilitarian beast does not have those options!

25-22607 for napa power steering belt...used one this summer...it works fine...it is just a tad to big, you still have adjustment space left to tighten it more, it just starts out about 2/3 way through the adjustment range.
I used it on a 85 bj60

A little research with the Toyota EPC (Japanese model data only) revealed the following:

Alternator belt was unique to the BJ7x series from 88/08-90/01.
Power steering belt is common to BJ7x from 84/11-90/01, BJ4x from 81/10-84/10, and BJ6x from 81/10-86/10.
A/C belt is again unique to 88/08-90/01 BJ7x

The easiest way out may be to pull all three off and get myself over to a napa to match them manually.

Are they the same belts as a 13bt? If so these part numbers from the diesel part number thread stickied at the top of this forum should help.

BJ74 13B-T Belts

Alternator: 22474 (NAPA)
Power Steering: 22607 (NAPA)
A/C: 17405 (Goodyear)

3B 13B-T engine belts

WP Fan & Alt
99343-01195 (Toyota)

(Metric Part Nos.)

PS pump
99343-11510 (Toyota)
15A1510
to
15A1595

AC compressor
99343- 01045 (Toyota)
13A0915
to
13A1045

NOTE that "to" indicates a range of sizes.
The metric size number is the belt width in millimeters and the belt length in millimeters.
thus 15A1195 to 15A1205 indicates a belt length between 1.195 meters and 1.205 meters, or ~47 inches to ~47.5 inches
note that the correct Toyota part numbers are also indicating the length in millimeters.

it ain't rocket science

The PS and AC belts match with the 13B-T; the metric sizes and OEM numbers are as M John Galt lists above... still haven't found the metric size for the fan belt (90916-02240). The local Toyota dealer has never heard of the part number... predictably.

Just give 15A1205 a try.. If it doesn't work, take it back.

Yep, that's what I'm going to do... I have a feeling I'm going to get very used to bootstrapping this kind of thing, owning this truck... :-)
