Diesels are dirt cheap if they aren't on american soil. You buy it from them while it's in another country then they have no risk of laying out the cash and having to pray that someone buys it once it gets to North America. They sell cheaper with a guaranteed buyer. I'm sure it is a very good deal.

Or it could be in Japan. Why don't you e-mail them and find out. I only know one person who bought from them. He got a Delica and was very happy with their service and the condition of his vehicle. I suggest you do a search for their name on MUD to find out how others have felt about their transactions.

Listing indicates the truck might be just south of Vancouver in Delta,I believe he has a small warehouse there.

It's photographed with number plates from my country (New Zealand) but the owner says it is now in Canada. (Must have stolen it from us already.)

Do you acknowledge your guilt yet??????

not my guilt, i have yet to purchase from NZ or OZ... but maybe i should start.

it comes down to greed of the natives. you trade your national tresures for the trinkets, you offer your daughters and wives to the buyers. the natives are greedy.
charge more for your daugters and wives and the hordes will leave.
charge more for your national treasures and the buyers will leave.
resist the invading buyers and they will shop in OZ.

but you greedily sell your pride and joy cheap...sorry, it is your problem.

now where is the NZ Ebay and local buy and sell...
oh my, another daughter for sale CHEAP!!

LOL!!

Yes, but the Kiwi $ is 3/4 the Canadian dollar. Still more than Japan maybe but they have a good supply of parts, should you need it. Lots of Safari parts there and looks cheaper than Auss or Japan- but so far I have no need.

Something like this might tempt you Brown Bear, especially if you had a kiwi contact:

I think it was in the website inventory yesterday before I bought it.

I'm not sure if it's in Canada or New Zealand though. I'm sure I'll find out soon enough.

What did they quote you for shipping, maybe that would tell. Congrats on a sweet rig!

Shipping to one of the 4 listed ports was included in the purchase price of $9750.

There's a video of the vehicle on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff37xJn0riA

I don't think the pictures of it in the auction listing were taken in British Columbia: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyot...QQcmdZViewItem

I'll be talking with the seller later today and have all of the info then.

I'm thinking about trying to source another 3B motor to rebuild just for piece of mind.

The truck is in New Zealand. I'm a little bummed because the auction listed it as being in Canada. I'm willing to wait the few months for it to arrive.

And you have a right to be bummed! Information in auctions should always be accurate. I wonder what their explanation is. The auction clearly stated that the vehicle was in Canada.

it said the seller was in canada. it never said the vehicle was in canada. As i said the free shipping to designated ports indicated it was not in canada.

Actually, it said:
Quote:
Item location: Delta B.C Canada, Canada
I have a copy of the Ebay auction listing page saved along with all of the large photos of the truck. (It should still be visible if you click the link to the auction in this thread.) It's in the info near the top of the page where the price and seller's name is located.

It's really not a big deal though. If I were in a hurry for the truck it might matter. I'm not in a hurry. I think it's a good deal even if I have to wait a while for it. I spoke with James @ JDM Wholesale earlier today and I didn't make an issue of NZ/CA location thing. If all goes well it might be here by the end of December. I might need that much time to make room in the garage.

Dead right. That's what I saw: "Item location Delta B C Canada". There was no doubt.

Doh, I never considered the exchange. So yah good deals for sure.

That HJ45 is nice. For 3k plus 2k shipping and fee's I would buy it. Time to enlist islandmoose. He should be down there and set up by now. I hope he frequents the site in the future.
