Hino's and the Dyna/Toyoace share the same engines in the smaller trucks with the 4cyl diesels. The older ones all used the B series engines and in the late 90's when the JO engines came out they all used that series too. As for the 6cylinder the older Hino's had a Hino engine and some of the Toyota trucks and buses used the H engines and HZ. Hino also makes up to some big 20L engines for their tractor trailers and dump trucks.
re: 12H-T How is availability of 12H-T parts at Okinawa ? I'm in Nevada USA with 12H-T engine imported from Japan via G&S Cruisers at British Columbia, Canada.

My engine runs great, has about 140,000 kms on it. Just looking ahead to when components such as Injector Pump may fail.

Thanks......

Kits for rebuilding pumps and engines will be around for years. Its the parts like manifolds ,or the oil lines to pump that are hard to get.
The old guy who owns the diesel shop I go to says he has only ever rebuilt 3-4 12HT pumps and its mainly just a seal kit. He says they outlast the engine

If I was a 12HT owner ,I would keep an eye out for 12HT parts and keep a spare set of rebuilt injectors

Hi, parts are available in Australia from Toyota, Repco and other major company's. On Ebay Australia shop front's like Roodog4wd or 4wdparts have heaps or just do a search under Landcruiser 60 series or FJ40 or HJ60 parts. They have full rebuild kits (pistons, sleeves, gaskets etc) for $700 to $800.I saw a complete injector pump for about $70 the other day, also a altenator with vac pump. The wrecking yards are full of 2H motors, saw a 2HT in really good condition 2 weeks ago $2,500.Australia got these motors from the early HJ45 & HJ47 (Ute & Troopy 1980), they are also in the HJ60, HJ75 series. The 2H motor in about 1989 then went to OHC.Here is my rebuild, FJ40 2F to HJ40 2Hhttp://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=173333
