| Help me turn my fuel down in Salt Lake City, Utah ASAP....Please. I should really know how to do this myself, but well, I don't......and am on my way across the country and would really really like to do it before crossing the continental divide. I'll be in SLC tonight and tomorrow..... If there's anyone out there, or east of here along I-80 that could show me how ASAP- there's a beer in it for you........make a cruiserchick smile I don't know how much I'll be able to check back here - my number is 415-407-9569. Thanks in advance.

| I have been searching on how to do this to a 2H as well. I have found good pics of the 3B but I just wanted to make sure about the 2H before I started fiddling around with it...
Moondog, I was in the same position as you last year with my HJ. Not very fun blowing black smoke all over those beautiful mountain passes!
Bump for a cruiserchick in need!

| I have adjusted the fuel many times on my 3B after installing a turbo. I can help you with this. If you still need to give me a call that will be the easiest, otherwise tell me if your 3B is equiped with an altitude compensator. By the way I live in Park City and I have a shop in Heber!
Cheers

| Adjusting the fuel is good, but bear in mind that your diesel will probably blow a ton on black smoke coming over the passes. I know mine does, and it runs great up to about 8500 ft, but WOT and overfueling with decreasing oxygen is going to mean some smoke. If the screw has never been tampered with, you may find it has an unusual three pronged locking ring around it( that is so people do not mess with the fuel and cook the motor). I backed mine off with a small punch and a hammer. Turn screw in, in 1/2 turn incriments, unless you see less smoke when revving engine. The adjustment screw is on the back of the injection pump. You may find cold start a little harder when fuel turned down. Good Luck, don't let any bicyclists pass you- may HJ60 goes 11mph on Teton Pass in Jackson Hole!!!

| Hey thanks everyone.....wound up heading out of salt lake later that day as the friend I was staying with got called into work. I had to just creep over the mountains east of Salt Lake, but Wyoming wasn't quite as bad as I was expecting since it was more of a gradual climb. This was the first trip I had made through the mountains in hot weather so I really had no idea what to expect.....back in the flatlands now and my cruiser is much happier (and I'm not freaking out anymore either). Almost home,....god I can't wait to jump in lake michigan. Thanks.
