24volt 'old style' fuses
Does anyone know where I can get my hands on 24 volt old style tube fuses? I need a few for my 24 to 12 volt converters and I would prefer to buy in bulk.

12v and 24v use the same SFE/AGC buss fuses rated at 32v
this should help __________________ "Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value." -- Albert Einstein 66FJ45/1HD stake bed, 68HJ45, 72FJ40/13B-T - H41 tranny/pto - marks 23% OverDrive |

A Fuse is a fuse IMOP. Rated for amperage, not voltage. Can you get one that fits?
Old stlye you must be refering to glass fuse? Auto stores sell them. __________________ -84 BJ60, Finally on the FN road! -91 FJ80, wife's ride Iron Butt award winner of the Cruise Moab 08 ! |

I didn't realize that fuses were not rated for voltage. It makes me wonder why the ones I removed were stamped 24v.
Thanks for the info folks. __________________ 87 HJ60,86 HJ60 auto,73 FJ40, 82 BJ60, 89 FJ62 and counting... |

The old glass ones I use in planes, have a rating of 250 volts on them. So they are rated somewhat for voltage.
There may be differences. But in a 24 volt truck, when a factory worker puts the truck together, a 24v truck used different fuses(lower amperage) so they probably stamp them 24v. And maybe keep the pails the same colour..... In theory of course. __________________ -84 BJ60, Finally on the FN road! -91 FJ80, wife's ride Iron Butt award winner of the Cruise Moab 08 ! |
