fuel priming pump - HJ60

I just changed the fuel filter on my HJ60.

When I went to pump the fuel primming pump to remove the air, more diesel can out of the pump than anything else.

Is there an easy fix for this? It only leaks when pumping.

Thanks

you need to replace it. Call a fuel injection shop in your area. Tell them the denso part number on your pump. Supposedly a bosch pump will work too. But ask them. If they don't know try another shop.

I bought a bosch fuel primer pump for my bosch IP in my Merc, then the guy at the shop said it would work on a denso pump too. So I ordered one for it too,. I have not tried it yet though. But I think it will work. They are only like 15-20 bucks.

The bosch replacement pump is the nicest. It doesn't have a screw in pump. Just a black pump handle.

Joe, i wouldn't worry about it. Once you've pressured up and find it leaks, then think about replacing it, til' then don't sweat it. Both my 2H's and the numerous 3B's ive had leaked when you broke the seal to pump it.
Enjoy your truck!
Cheers!

Thanks for the help.

As it does not leak, I'll just wait for warmer weather.

I'll try to source a replacement, though

new one is and option but if you close it ( I suppose it don't function to bleed the fuel system air ) and it no leak, just go ahead keeping close and full your fuel filter after replacement ..
