block heater

I had new block heater installed about 3 years ago and it is dead.
What do you guys suggest for a brand?
Not sure what was put in my truck.

leave that one in and go with a lower rad hose heater...

zerostart. you can either get a replacement for your blockheater, or, like wayne suggested the inline heater. we sell em for about $25 for the inline heaters and about $20 for the block heaters, so neither way will break your wallet.

do you have to cut the lower rad hose to put it in?
Any particular brand for those?
I'm assuming they work better then a block heater?

yes, works better than block heater.
yes, you need to cut about an 1 1/4" out of the lower rad hose on a straight section
they are all the same...different packaging...

So it is just held in with hose clamps then?
any pictures of an installed one from anyone?
