Fuseable link

Hi Guys,

I want to replace this fuseable link - anyone know where i can get one? It is for a 12V system. Can't seem to get one from toyota or ENS.

Can something be substituted for it?

Toyota Dealer is the easiest bolt in replacement.

I bought the stock bj70 one. It's only a 2 wire and there is another 3rd wire that is seperate. I ran that for a bit and scraped that and modified my harness to run the FJ60 fusible link which is a nicer plug and play. Plus I grabbed probably 3 spares at a bone yard.

Or you can go to napa etc and buy fusible link wire and make your your own. That connection has seen better days.

I just seen the wire they had for sale. I would go this route myself. Its with all the connectors on a turning rack.

Nice puss on that connector.....yuck!

You can get fusible links at most any auto parts store. You usually need to know the cross sectional area of the link, or you can try and ask about sizing/load characteristics from a trained (ie: not some dumb high school kid) parts person.

good luck.

Thats what I done. Took what was left of the old one and matched it up with some new wire and connectors.
Got enough wire for $10 to do 4 cruisers
