younger than my cruiser

help diesel conver
so I have a 77 fj40 I have a running and leaking engine. it is the 4.2 gaser. what help can be given for a diesel swap. how hard. I have pulled rebuilt and put in 4.2 in jeeps but the fj I want to keep for a while. so I want to do it right and have good power. I am really not made of money so cheapest is helpful.

The 2H 6 cyl is easy and the cheapest because you can use your old gearbox although I would upgrade to a 5 sp to get the best out of the engine.
Another cheap option is a chev V8 diesel, maybe. Generally cheap and diesel are not found together
