Wanted: JDM Hilux Parts

Hi everyone,

I am looking for an electrical harness for the engine compartment of my 1993 JDM LN107 4x4 Double cab Hilux. Since my initial post regarding the harness, I have learned that it (the harness) has been used in the 1989 - 1994 JDM Hilux pickups that have the 2800cc 3L diesel engine and electric aerial. Whether the Hilux has a single or double battery 12 volt electrical system, or if the pickup is a single or double cab does not matter.

The keys to finding the harness that will work in my Hilux are:
The vehicle must be a JDM Hilux that came with the 3L engine and an electric aerial. These 2 features are common to all of the 1989 - 1994 Hilux photos I have seen, and the engine compartment in all of them look almost identical to mine.

(Please see photos below)

Please let me know if you have any 1989 - 1994 Hilux pickups that came with the 3L engine, an electric aerial and are being parted out. I am also looking for the plastic battery tray found under the battery on the right hand side of the pickup.

If it is possible please send me photos so that I can tell you if the harness you have will work in my Hilux.

Regards

Andrew.

Andrew, the only one I know who was importing parts JDM hiluzx parts trucks is Mustang Connection here in BC: Mustang Connection - 1965 - 73 Mustang Specialists and Foreigh Car Importer If he doesn't have it, he might know where to buy it. It sure would help if you had a correct part number. With the part number you might be able to have a local dealer order you a new one.

Arrow Re: JDM Hilux Parts

canucksafari,

I have contacted Mustang Connection already, and with the info I sent them were able to get the part numbers (two harnesses were available, one for the vehicles being shipped somewhere that required the cold weather features and the other one if those features were not needed) for the harness I am looking for.

Unfortunately for me, Toyota does not manufacture either harness anymore, which is why I am searching for anyone/anywhere that has any 1989 - 1994 JDM Hilux pickups that came with the 3L engine and an electric aerial being used for parts, or has parts already removed from any Hilux pickup with the specs listed above.

I am hoping that someone will be able to help me.

Thanks for the suggestion

Hi lizardsinep,

I have been sending email to Australia, Japan, England and Canada hoping that someone either has or knows someone who does have the parts that I am looking for. So far I have not been able to find any harnesses that will work in my Hilux. I will continue my search.

Thanks

Hi aircrew,

I am looking for a replacement (does not have to be new) harness as there is some damage to my existing harness and also one of my headlights is noticeably brighter than the other.
I think you forgot to give me the contact info for the person/place that can get JDM parts

Thanks

Andrew.

Why don't you just rebuild your harness. I made one for my truck.
