Wanted Shackles
Hi Guys,
I need a rear set of shackles for an HZJ73. They are the same as the PZJ70 - and are not the same as the BJ74's or other 7X series. Let me know if you have any please. Pin centre to centre is 84.5mm
pin length is 127mm total shackle length is 140mm bolt thread width is 14mm The front are very close ot the rears except the rear shackle plate steel on the rear is 1cm thick - the front is only about 7mm. i go out looking for my stack of decent used shackles and realise they are now in the scrap pile so i have one set left. the measurements are different from yours but i do have one question... the rear pin diamater seems awlfully small for a 70 series... that diamater seems more of an old style 40 series...

Sorry, the pin diameter is 18mm. I found that the only difference is the actual thickness of the rear shackle plate. So I have ordeered a set of greasable shackles from 4wd - they should fit fine. I also have a pile of bushings from a mine inventory I cleared out - so I am set now.
Thanks for your help though wayne. __________________ Louis Check out my youtube videos at: www.youtube.com/lshobie Join the True North Toyota Land Cruiser Club in Ottawa http://landcruisers.ca/ |
