Where can I find 1HD-FTE engine?

I am looking for this engine in the states for a swap. Anyone aware of any importers that may have this?

Does it have to be a 1HD FTE?
G&S Cruisers have a 1HD FT listed for sale which is probably an easier install.

You sure you want an FTE engine? E = Enormous pita...

Any reason in particular you wanted that version? We do have an 1HD-T 1/2 cut on the boat, and also a line on a 1HD-FT.

Greg ,Has no one your side figured out the complex electrics to fitting a 1HD FTE yet?

I believe its been done in the east here but exactly what gets done,no one is saying

I wanted the FTE for two reasons:
1. I come from gasoline background where ECUs are standard. It's weird to see an engine with no electronics to control injection timing.
2. The added power and fuel economy will be nice. I don't see why the transplant would be so hard.
