Hey All,

Frank could use a helper at the CO 4WD association meeting on Saturday. This meeting will involve CO participation in United 4WD - so it is important.

I have a conflict - would anyone like to go with him?

I believe it is in CO Springs.

Do I need to see if I can get a 3rd Kitchen pass in one month?

Could be a record for me.

Hey TJ, just give me the FJ40 fenders and we can call it even.

We will also need someone to serve as Treasurer - who is interested?

here are my notes from the state meeting.

COA4WDCI FIRST QUARTER STATE MEETING
First thing discussed was a change in the bylaws for lifetime memberships. Pat would like to see two options, silver and gold.
Silver lifetime membership would be a one time cost of $500 and would entitle the person to a patch, sticker and lifetime subscription to High Times magazine. They would also receive a special silver member badge. They would not have any voting rights except through two delegates selected by the silver members and would be considered ambassadors to the association
Gold members would get everything included in the silver packet, except the badge would designate gold lifetime member. They would also get voting rights for every membership (one vote per family), and a jacket with embroidered state patch, gold member logo and name.
On both memberships, the first $75 would go to the general fund, the rest to an interest bearing account at the treasurer’s discretion. Every year, enough funds would be pulled to fund that year’s subscription to High Times. Because these members are considered ambassadors to the state association, they would have to be approved by a 2/3 majority of the board.
There was also a vote for the alternate vice president position. Jeff Stemas was elected.
The 06 raffle vehicle is going in for paint soon, pictures are expected by late February and tickets will be out in April. It will be raffled at the Colorado Springs Toys For Tots run on December 2nd at Southside Johnny’s.
A dues increase was discussed, as there was some confusion as to where the money was going to go and why we are paying more to United. The increase will be a $5 increase next year, which will cover an increase from United, then, another $5 increase in 08 by the state association. A lengthy discussion was brought up about what we get for our money from United. Some felt that United doesn’t fight enough for our local causes, others feel that Carla Boucher is a big bang for our buck since having a lawyer so close to Washington is a big advantage and she is well respected there. Gail pointed out that Carla may not get directly involved in local cases, but is there for any questions on how to effectively fight our local cases and she has helped a few clubs get the information to fight for local trails.
March 1st thru 3rd is the boat show…looking for volunteers and vehicles for the booth…vehicles would have to be moved in around 10am the Tuesday beforehand. Volunteers will get a free pass to the show, but will have to pay their own parking.
The Cohvco show will be the second weekend in April.

we'd like to get this nailed down at the next meeting

When Ben and I were talking about starting a club, I asked him about being VP.

He said "Yes - as long as I can be known as "The Third Member'"

So I nominate Ben for VP/Third Member.
